Kari had phoned me a few weeks ago and asked me to make a purse for Kassidy. She said she's become quite a girly girl and can't leave the house without her accessories and a purse to keep them in. I went over to the Smiths grocery store and shopped the Capri Sun aisle. They have a new "line" of Capri Suns called SUNRISE. After trying to peek into the box, without tearing it open, (that's tricky to do) I decided to chance it and bought a box hoping they were cute. I went home and whipped up a bag that I think she will be very happy with. Nothing says spring like Capri Suns and nothing says girly girl like a great hand bag!!
I got up this morning and did a bunch of chores and a few errands. Before I did the afternoon carpool run I decided to do a little sewing. I got a bunch of fabric the other day for $2 a yard! Steal of a deal!! I bought enough to make Kodie 4 summer skirts and one for myself. I figured if she had cute skirts to wear in stead of shorts all the time maybe she wouldn't look like a rag-a-muffin all summer long. I got down to business and got the monkey skirt done. I had fabric and thread all over the house! If you've had the chance to visit us since living in Utah you know it doesn't take much to get something "all over the house"! I am looking forward to working on a couple more next week.

Totally cute purse!
PS- I noticed you have the wrong link for me on your sidebar. Just thought you might want to know.
Very cute. But that is to be expected from you. Everything you do is so darn crafty and adorable that you make me want to do some fun homemaker stuff. I know I have it in me I'm just not motivated.
Where I come from we would call you "Becky Home-ecky". Just so you know I am showing Greg how to look at your blog so if you get any strange comments from my name, know they were from Greg. (Are you reading this, Gerrit??)
too stinkin' crafty for me :) of course, at this point almost everything is... I'm once again more than a year behind on my scrapbooks... grrr...

It is so cute, as usual. Your non-crafty friend loves it. We miss you guys. It looks like things are going well still. Love ya.
