January Fun

Thank Heavens for Kids ... especially after a big snow storm. The kids are good sports about shoveling the side walks and driveway. Between the three of us we can get it cleared in about 20 minutes. Its pretty fun working out in the snow and cold. It gives us a great appetite for supper afterward as well.

We had a mini Championship Bowl party a few weeks ago. Jason had to ref church ball that night. It's his calling and it takes all of his Thursday nights and Saturdays. He likes it but it's getting old pretty quick. I never see him anymore, unless I decide to be a nice wife and run up some fresh cinnamon buns or butterhorns to him! Anyway, Kodie was in bed and Chandler and I were going to watch the game. Chandler's friend Ashton is a big Longhorns fan so Bing invited him over and we had a party. It consisted of cookies and hot chocolate and a whole lot of yelling! We had a great time even though they lost. Better luck next year!

So I started a piece quilt 2 summers ago. I finally decided to pull it out and get it finished. I have a fairly good stack of finished blocks and my piles of fabric on the ironing board is getting smaller. You can actually see the ironing board now. It was completely covered when I started. I am excited to get it put together. I think I'm going to get a walking foot for my sewing machine and machine quilt it as well! Should be interesting!

This ones for you girls (you know who you are ... baaaa baaaaa) I read my mole book on a very regular basis and laugh as I remember our fun weekend! xox love you all!!
