We've had a week of parties! well, not really, but kind of. Saturday the kids and I spent the WHOLE afternoon weeding the flower beds. This house was empty for a year and the yard was totally neglected. Our flower beds were sporting weeds about 2 feet high! We worked like crazy to get them weeded before the rain started. We've been having monsoon type weather for a couple weeks. It's been great for the grass, but a little hard to do yard work around. Sunday was Fathers Day. Jason came home from church with a tootsie pop corsage that Young Women made. It was pretty cute, hence the photos. Today we had a birthday party for Kodie. I decided it would be a good way to get to know the girls in the neighborhood and ward. We had 10 girls show up for an afternoon of crafting. Aunt Melissa came over to be assistant to the party leader (mom). We were SOOO glad for her help. We made paper bag scrap books, had cake and ice cream, opened gifts, then made bracelets. Kodie invited her friends from our old ward. They all told me how much they miss me in primary! I thought that was so nice. Chandler invited a couple friends over to keep him company during the party. They played video games then came up after the girls were gone for cake and ice cream. It was a fun day, and with Kodies birthday tomorrow it's looking like a week full of parties!!
