Lacrosse

Chandler decided to take up Lacrosse. He was doing hockey, but the league was having practices on Sunday so he decided to try something new. We got him signed up and equipped. He had only one practice before his first game. It was fun to watch but a little confusing to figure out. He kept up with the players, but was hesitant to get right into the mix. I think as he understands the game he'll get a little more aggressive. He got layed out by a huge kid on the other team. It was pretty comical to watch. He really flew through the air! He's about 5'3" and weights about 80 lbs. Hopefully he'll fill out a little, at least enough to prevent flight!
The kids are both enjoying school. Chandler is learning to play percussion instruments and to speak German. He says something in German and Kodie will answer in Spanish. I am at a total loss on what's being said, but I'm fairly sure it's appropriate! I've been busy with school assignments. I am taking an American history class along with my other hygiene related classes. I have learned that I know very little about American history. In fact the only think that I've know so far is how to say Sault Ste. Marie. The instructor was duly impressed. He said I was the third student in 5 years who's known that one. I'm sure I only know it because it's related to hockey, but I can't remember how!! Maybe Gretzky played there or something. Who knows!!
I got new bedding a couple weeks ago and am excited to get our room put together. It's coming slowly, but the end is in sight. We are LOVING being back in a house and really like where we are at. It feels like home now that it's put together. We'd love to have company if anyone ever is down this way, now that we have room to have people over.

Good job Chandler. You have to tell us all about it. Schoen (german) Your house is really looking all put together. I am still working at mine. I think it is just getting too big. I know how you feel about American History. I was choosen to teach it to the kids, besides Socical Study, math reading and writing. Any takers, since I really do not enjoy reading all those books. Even took a couple home tonight to stay ahead of the kids. Yikes
