So it's been a while since we've updated the blog. I will give you the Readers Digest version of whats been happening. The kids have been busy with school and Chandler is now playing basketball. I am almost done with this semester of classes. Jason is now at a different branch out in West Valley City. He seems to like it fine, but it scares we a little. The tellers are behind bullet proof glass. Jason's not, I guess they don't worry about the bankers during a robbery!
Kodie was awarded an Altara Lead The Way award at school this morning. The kids are nominated by their teachers for something outstanding they have done. She got her award for class participation and being an excellent student. Way to go Kodie!
Chandler had his first Band concert on Tuesday. He warned me before the concert to take earplugs because it was going to be BAD! We were so excited to hear his first performance. He is learning percussion and played the bells and the snare drums for the show. He wasn't too far off the mark with his ear plug warning! I would be willing to bet my last dollar that the band teacher forgot to tune the kids before they went on. I think their first note had about 12 different pitches! Chandler did a great job. He got lost a couple times during the first song, but faked his playing really well. The second and third song he had down pat. We are so proud of him!
We got our Christmas stuff put up after Thanksgiving Dinner. We decided its about time for a new tree. Our little one looks extra little against out really tall wall! Boxing day sales here I come!! We are looking forward to Christmas in our own house again!
Thanksgiving dinner was great. I made it all from scratch and it turned out pretty good. My apple pie overflowed while baking and caused a smoky cloud as you can see in the pictures, but it cleared up pretty quickly. We were glad Aunt Kelcie could spend the day with us.
Jason's birthday was fun. We had brownies and ice cream. I was going to make a cheesecake, but we had no power all day Saturday, so brownies it was. Ron and Melissa and the girls came over as well as Kelcie. WE had our brownies, then they all went back to Ron's to watch the Real Salt Lake game. The kids and I stayed home and got to bed on time like good kids!
So our power went out the Saturday before Big Guys Birthday. It was supposed to come on a few hours later. It got later and later, so we dug out the lanterns and did the chores that could be done in the dark. We decided to go to the Grizzlies game, figuring the rink would be warmer than the house. We met up with Kelcie and her friends and had a great evening. The power came back on about 10:00 pm. Just in time for us to get home, brush our teeth and go to bed!

Cute pictures! I love your Christmas tree. Way to go Kodie and Chandler, what great kids! Love you all!
Just wait until Branden sees that last picture. I don't think Jason can give him a hard time about football anymore. They are about even. Can't wait to see you 2 weeks. Yeah!!!!!
I guess I trained him well. Fun to see some successes. Makes all you endured worthwhile. Great pictures.
