I have been thinking and thinking about how to make a good sturdy bag, with multiple pockets and a zipper closure for our trip to Germany. I wanted it to be service-able and cute. I was awake many night trying to think how to do this. I finally came up with this bag that I made for Kodie. I am so pleased with how it turned out! Here is my play-by-play recap of the "GermanyBag".

I (actually Kodie) chose to embellish the front if the bag with ribbon flowers and a pearl accent. This is just gathered grosgrain ribbon glue-gunned to a piece of felt and glued/sewn to the front panel of the bag.

This is the finished product, complete with a nice wide strap accented with ribbon that matches the flowers. She wears the bag like a satchel so she has easy access to the contents and to prevent pick-pocketing.

The front pocket is trimmed with ribbon that matches the flowers. This pocket is lined as are all the others for added stability and support.

This is the inside of the bag flipped out so you can see the pockets. I did two large pockets on the bottom half of the front and three puffy pockets in the top half of the front.

I put two large pockets in the bottom of the back panel and 2 small pockets with 4 pen holders on the top half. The lining has also been lined with canvas to add to the bags durability.

This is the outer back panel of the bag. I made a large vinyl pocket trimmed with coordinating fabric and with 2 Velcro closures.

This is the back on the inside. You can see how the pockets look (kind of).

This is the front inside panel to see these pockets!
