March is dental convention month in Utah. I didn't have to go this year thanks to my schooling. Those hours spent doing school count for Continuing Education hours for the next two years. This group of ladies when to school with me in Beeville. We meet up every convention for lunch. Kodie was off school yesterday so she came along. We made a quick pit-stop at the RE-Store and bought a fabulous old wooden door that will soon be my headboard! Yay!! So we met up with everyone for lunch at Rumbi Island Grill at the Gateway. There is me, Jessica Strupp, Jessica Dubois and Emily Jewkes. Kodie took the picture. She's getting to be a pretty good little photographer. We had a great visit and I'm sure we will see everyone next year!
Chandler and his friend Ashton spent quite a bit of time together this week. Ashton has still been quite sick and can't go to school. Chandler has been a very good friend to him and has spent almost each day after school at his house or the both of them at ours. He keeps him filled in on what's happening at Indian Hills Middle School. He played a pretty good trick on him before valentines, and was writing valentines and saying that someone put them in his locker for Ashton. He wrote poetry and love notes and had Ashton going pretty good. He kept it up for about 5 days and finally confessed the day after valentines! It was pretty funny and helped keep Ashtons spirits up. They are great friends and we are so grateful for Ashton and his family in our lives.
On Sunday the Deacons showed up at our house to collect fast offerings. I had to laugh then grab the camera. Chandler and Ethan were wearing the same coat! They were twinning it with the coats and braces. Ethan is a new deacon and Chandler was just made a teacher, but they get along great and are buddies.
...and... GASP.... Chandler is eating a vegetable of his own choice!!! I bought some Edamame (soy beans in the pod) and cooked up a bag. Chandler was game to try them and actually really liked them! He ate about half the bag!!! So this is the proof that I can get him to WILLINGLY eat a vegetable! That just proves that I am a VERY SUCCESSFUL mother!!
It was Kate and Madi's birthday on the 9th. I have been doing pictures for Jeanne throughout the year and these were there 1 year pictures. The girls have gotten so big and are so cute!

We are always looking forward for your fun updates. What is wrong with Ashton? what a buddy, Chandler. Are you helping him with homework as well?
I think Jaren has almost the exact same coat as Chandler! Now we'll have to get a picture of Jaren and Chandler, Jason and Greggor in their matching coats! Next time I'm in Utah, please take me to the Re-store--sounds like my kind of place! Do they sell things online? Love you guys!
