Once Jason and Bing got back we started cutting the bush down. Come to find out the bush was really a bunch of vines (they are unbelievably strong, I see why Tarzan chose to swing on them) and they were growing on our side of the fence. Our neighbor said they were planted years ago and have kind of over taken the fence. We started cutting and pulling, and cutting and pulling ... you get the picture ... it took us about 3 hours to get those vines torn out. The back of the truck was overflowing and we needed to squish it all down. We grabbed the counter tops that were waiting for a trip to the dump, threw them on top of the plant and then Jason crawled up and started jumping. He made me get up there and help him pack the plant down. It was like a trampoline! Of course most trampolines aren't sporting a wasp nest the size of a volley ball in them, but we managed to escape relatively unscathed. We hauled the load to the dump and decided to call it a day. Actually the boys did the mowing and Kodie and I made bread, then we called it a day. We got the kids ready for bed and when I kissed Chandler goodnight he about burnt my lips off! He had a really high fever (104.2). It was strange, he didn't have any other symptoms and he said he felt fine. I took him to urgent care and they couldn't decide what was wrong with him. His fever broke sometime last night and he seems to be okay today. Strange.
The other day we went on a "Big Adventure". The kids and I like to write down a lists of places we'd like to go and things we'd like to do then pick a "Big Adventure" to do. Jason was off early on Tuesday so we went on our adventure to SWEETS candy factory. The kids and I went there last summer, but Jason hadn't been. It's really fun. They take you out of the factory floor and walk you through all the areas. They make jelly beans, cinnamon bears, orange sticks, but are most famous for their salt water taffy. They give you samples right off the assembly line. It is very interesting to see how they make all the delicious candy. They send you home with a bag of fresh taffy and a lovely hair net! It was a great adventure, one I'm sure we'll do again.
I made a few bean bags for work. They are having a booth at Draper Days and asked me to make bean bags for a game. I got creative and made tooth shaped bean bags. I asked Chandler what he thought they looked like. Kodie butted in and said teeth, Chandler thought a moment and said "molars." That's my boy!! Then he pretended to rip one out of his mouth and be in so much pain .. again, that's my boy!

that's kinda gross with the snails but yummy salt water taffy!!
I used to have snails like that for pets. Then they got out in my room. I'd periodically find them months later. So disgusting.
You better watch out for PETA. Heaven forbid we get rid of es-car-go. (I don't know French.)
We miss you!
