After hockey we ran home, ate a quick lunch, changed into church clothes, and were off to the Draper Temple open house. We parked at a church a few miles from the temple. We watched a short video on temples and then boarded a bus. The bus ride was about 6 or 7 minutes long. We were standing because all the seats were taken. It was little scary trying to hang on going around the corners in high heels! The host on the bus gave us a little info about the Draper temple and grounds, then explained that it was a silent tour. We were given pamphlets with information on the different rooms and what they are used for. We got in line and headed in. The kids were so excited to actually go into the temple. We had a great experience while in there. It was incredibly beautiful and peaceful. The tour took about an hour. We had a little snack at the church while waiting for our bus ride back to the car. The kids both decided that the celestial room was their favorite and they also thought the whole thing was "really cool".
