My Very Good Day

Today is my birthday and normally it is not my favorite day. I just don't like getting older. My favorite thing that happens on my birthday is the all my family phones me. I love getting those calls. This year was a little different. The day started out with a home made pop-out card made with love by Kodie. She really is creative when it comes to scrapping, glueing, and cutting. I had to work, but got off early which was a nice treat. The girls I work with gave me a nice card and the doctor I work for surprised me with a little birthday money. I had the privilege of playing piano for the Draper Temple Open House. I was called a few months ago and asked if I would be willing to serve. I was very excited for the chance. I learned a few weeks ago and informed that my day was to be 2-17. What a memorable event for my birthday. I played for about an hour. It was a great experience to help bring the spirit to an event of that magnitude. I went home to some beautiful flowers, tulips, which are my favorite. Apparently Kodie helped the flower lady by choosing the flowers and the floofy stuff and arranging them with her. She was so excited for me to see them. Jason also got me a pair of fluffy slippers. For those of you who aren't around me alot, I ALWAYS wear slippers in every home I go to. I'm glad to have a cute pair to haul around with me. Chandler shared his artistic ability by making me a Super Mario card. He is pretty good at drawing Mario and Toad. Jason took me out for a birthday dinner. We went to the Olive Garden so I could have a bowl of minestrone soup. mmm mmm good. In between all that I got my phone calls from my family. All in all it was a very good day.
