Kodie has been wanting to learn to sew for a while now. I found a bit of fabric in the closet and decided Saturday was as good a day as any to begin. We decided to make mostly matching aprons. After a quick tutorial, one that I remember my mom giving me, you know, presser foot, feed dog, bobbin, tension etc, the work began. Kodie practiced sewing on a scrap of fabric while I cut the aprons out. I helped her sew the curvy part and she sewed all the rest. She did a great job! She chose some pretty ribbon for the ties and was very pleased with herself when she was done. I made a variation of her apron and tried to "cute" is up a bit as well. They both turned out cute and we had a great time sewing together.
